FAQs

Goat milk is naturally rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, and E, as well as fatty acids, amino acids, and zinc. It’s perfect for soothing and hydrating sensitive skin, and its creamy texture provides a gentle, luxurious lather. Goat milk can help nourish and moisturize skin, leaving it soft and supple.

Yes! Our Goat Milk Bubble Bath Shreds are kid-friendly and turn bath time into a fun, creamy, and nourishing experience. However, because they are all-natural, they are not a "tear-free" formula, so make sure to avoid contact with the eyes.

Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using 100% natural soy wax and essential oils. We use wood wicks for a clean, eco-friendly burn, and our candles come in recyclable amber glass jars. Soy wax burns longer and cleaner than traditional paraffin wax, making it a better choice for both you and the environment. ♡

Our 8-ounce candles typically burn for 48 hours, depending on how well the wick is maintained.

Palm oil is a versatile ingredient in soap making because it helps to harden the bar, which means your soap lasts longer—getting you more bang for your buck! Beyond that, palm oil is rich in palmitic acid, which is known to help condition and protect the skin, leaving it soft and smooth after each use.

We are committed to sustainability, which is why we only use palm oil that is RSPO-certified (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil). This means the palm oil we purchase is sourced from suppliers who adhere to responsible farming practices that do not contribute to the destruction of habitats, especially those of endangered species like orangutans. We definitely don’t support the destruction of their habitats or any irresponsible practices that harm the environment.

Yes! Except the soap dish, and soap pouch. Besides that, all of my products are made and packaged by me in my home studio. I also partner with my sister-in-law Angie @thesagegarden, who hand makes the sage bundles.

Handmade soap scents lasts for a long time, up to a year or more. Some scents do fade, but most remain strong for at least 4-6 months (and once wet in the shower you'll smell the scents even stronger). It really depends on how often you wash, but soap will last an average of 3-4 weeks in the shower and 5-6 weeks as hand soap.

To ensure your handmade soaps last as long as possible, always keep them on a well-drained soap dish and allow the soap to dry between uses. Soap left in standing water can become soft and will not last as long. Store unused soap in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight if possible.

No, all Fancy Valley Soap products are produced in a home that uses almond and other nut oils, so please be aware of this for those with severe nut allergies.

Sodium hydroxide (also known as lye) is a key ingredient in producing soap - you can't make soap without it! Saponification is the process of converting fats, oils, or butters into soap by mixing them with lye. Once your soaps have been cut and cured, the lye that was present at the start of the saponification process is not present in the final product.

My standard turnaround time for soap favors is 5-7 weeks. Traditional cold process soap needs to "cure" before it is ready to use. During the curing process, water slowly evaporates from the bars allowing the soaps to harden. 5-7 weeks is the minimum amount of time required to complete your order and ensure it ships to you on time :) You're welcome to order further in advance if you prefer!

For sure! I'm located in Spring Valley, California. Send me a message to arrange for local pickup 😊
